We are an independent museum set in a peaceful rural location on the edge of the market town of Ramsey in Cambridgeshire.

Ramsey Abbey Gatehouse
Once an island in the Fens, this charming former gatehouse is the remains of the oldest English and once great Benedictine abbey at Ramsey. An ornately carved exterior with a glorious oriel window survives from its centuries of history. There are also remains from the Abbey incorporated into the nearby Manor House as well as the gatehouse at Hinchingbrooke.

Abbey House
Originally built in the 10th century, this was once a prosperous Benedictine Monastery. However following the Dissolution in 1539 most of the buildings were demolished. The stone was used to construct various Cambridge colleges and church towers. Once part of the school it is now a venue for events.

Ramsey 1940s The Camp
Come and visit this unique site as the clock is turned back. An original search light battery unit, the Camp is situated on the outskirts of Ramsey and holds events every August. The perfect historic camp full with the sights, sounds, and spirit of the 1940s.
